PROBLEM: Personalized Publishing Creates Complex Mailing Process
Helping churches publish their own inspirational magazine is Promise Network's primary business. This meant personalizing the covers of the magazine to reflect the name of the church and including the church's information inside. Once printed, nearly 200 separate versions of the same digest (250,000 to 400,000 total pieces each issue) are addressed to mailing routes of the church's choosing, and some churches get a bulk shipment in addition to their direct mail order. How do you keep up with so much data.

SOLUTION: Develop PromiseNet, a complete database solution
As an employee of Promise Network Sean developed a detailed database using FIleMaker Pro. This system, nicknamed PromiseNet, helps employees track every aspect of their customers. PromiseNet helps their sales staff by tracking marketing efforts, customer notes, detailed reminders and custom letters. Once a customer signs a contract all details of the contract are captured inside FileMaker. The system then tracks every aspect of each order and where it is in the production process helping their production staff keep on schedule. It helps coworkers keep track of what routes each church or individual has reserver and even ties into UPS WorldShip. Invoices are generated and payments collection. From start to finish FileMaker helps the coworkers at Promise Network run their company.
